The most critically reviewed part of the business plan is the Financials section. This section shall
projected/estimated revenues/sales, margins, investments and associated assumptions. The financials shall be
estimated for period of 3 to 5 years. To prepare this section, it is critical to arrive at a suitable model for
the estimations and validate those estimations. This tool can help in the process by providing a suitable
framework/guideline considering different deal models based on the different types of inputs (customer type,
deal/engagement type, etc) for revenue and bookings estimations. In addition it also provides framework for
estimating the investments required across different types viz. Direct costs, Indirect costs (Opex & Capex) and
finally simulating margins and cash flow situations.
